This is very, very pretty. It looks like an optical illusion in the pic. Wondering about adaptability to be a scarf or stole, rather than a tube? Would it come out with relatively straight edges? Probably would need to calculate stitches for the selvage edges within the pattern. It's probably more than I want to take on.
very pretty!
(FYI? caitlinchris from rav... =D)
Pretties...pretties...
WE - I think it could be easily adapted to a flat pattern. (both of them, actually) Every other row is just k every stitch IIRC, so for a flat pattern you'd just p every stitch.
Actually I should amend my comment to say, on the Wavy Feathers one it's *k11, p1* on every other row so obviously that'd be p11, k1 if you were knitting it flat. My bad...
Yeah, but then in addition to going back and forth instead of round and round, I'd be changing that on different rows, wouldn't I? Like one time it would be p11, k1 and on the next it would be p10, k1, p1, and then p9, k1, p2 . . .
Or am I overthinking this again? I should probably just get some LO stuff and try a swatch, but it's 2am and I'm not going there now.
The "wrong side" rows (the odd number rows) would all be *p11, k1*.
That is gorgeous!
